Endoscopy: a Simple Definition
Industrial endoscopy involves using optical or digital devices, called endoscopes, to explore and inspect areas inaccessible to the naked eye in complex industrial environments. Unlike medical endoscopy, this technique is adapted to extreme conditions, including temperatures up to 2000°C, corrosive environments, or confined spaces.

Our history
The Birth of KINOPTIK
KINOPTIK was founded in Paris. Quickly recognized in the world of cinema, the company specialized in manufacturing precision optics, particularly for professional cameras and projectors. Its expertise in high-quality lens and optical system design established KINOPTIK as a major player in the audiovisual sector.
Integration into the SFIM Group
KINOPTIK joined the SFIM group (Société Française d’Instrumentation et de Mesure), alongside CLAVE (high-temperature endoscopy and astronomy), SOFRETEC and INSPECTRONIC (nuclear imaging), and BODSON (industrial and thermal endoscopy). This marked the beginning of KINOPTIK’s expansion into vision systems for extreme environments.
Creation of CESYCO
Following financial difficulties, KINOPTIK was acquired by CESYCO, which inherited its expertise in high-temperature industrial endoscopy. CESYCO became a reference supplier in the steel, glass, and energy sectors, offering vision systems tailored for the harshest industrial environments.
Launch of INDUSCOPE
INDUSCOPE was founded to enhance CESYCO’s field expertise. Specializing in on-site inspection services, the company enables real-world equipment testing and validation, while also responding to rental and custom service requests.
Transition to Video: Videoscope Developmen
CESYCO launched a line of videoscopes, expanding inspection capabilities with animated image capture. This technical evolution marked a key milestone in documenting and interpreting inspections in challenging environments.
Creation of CESYCO Services
To meet the growing demand for on-site inspection services, CESYCO created a dedicated subsidiary: CESYCO Services. It offers turnkey field interventions worldwide using ready-to-operate equipment. It also manages an endoscope rental service, providing flexible and responsive solutions for urgent or short-term needs.
Interchangeable Camera Heads
Endoscope heads became modular, allowing users to select different angles, fields of view, and optical directions according to each application. This change brought greater flexibility and adaptability to users.
Integration of CMPC
CMPC, CESYCO’s long-standing stainless steel sheath supplier, became an official subsidiary. This acquisition internalized welding and precision machining activities, strengthening CESYCO’s technical autonomy and production agility.
